Heather joined Donovan & Company in 2019 as an articled student.  She is a member of the Haisla Nation with family in Kitamaat Village and on Vancouver Island. Following a 25-year career in law enforcement, Heather fulfilled a life-long goal of obtaining her law degree. She attended the University of Saskatchewan College of Law and Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia where she received her Juris Doctor with a specialization in Aboriginal law.

Heather is working in gaining experience and expertise in all practice areas of the firm. She hopes to use her experience and skills from law enforcement along with her legal education to effect positive change within Indigenous communities.

Away from the office, Heather enjoys time with family, beach combing on the west coast of Vancouver Island and sailing on English Bay. Her real passion however, is working in the woods at home on the Island. Heather is an aficionado of splitting, hauling and stacking firewood with her Father.
